Alaska July 2009
The Final Frontier (Pt. 1)
This past July I spent 11 days in Alaska. It was a very cool experience that I wish could have only lasted longer. I visited parts of Denali National Park (Southern Rim), the cities of Talkeetna, Anchorage, Homer, Soldotna, Mt. McKinley, and spent most of my time in and around the city of Seward. There were very few bad things about the trip except for the weather and that our fishing trip was cancelled due to the weather and the boat captain having a family emergency. The photos displayed below are of some of the animals that I ran across in Alaska. I shot these photos at the Alaska Sea Life Center, around the city of Seward, and on a wildlife cruise in the Kenai Fjords National Park.

New Years Eve 2009
San Elijo State Beach
For New Years 2009 my girlfriend, her family, and I spent the week at a beach campsite at San Elijo State Beach down in San Diego County. It was a cool little trip where we visited the La Jolla Caverns and enjoyed the last sunset of the decade, which was awesome. It gave me quite a few photo ops. Below is a few from the trip.

GOOFOGRAPHY
What in the *$@#% is GOOFOGRAPHY?
GOOFOGRAPHY is, quite simply, my photography. Goof is my childhood nickname given to me by my friends. Even as a coach my athletes referred to me as Goof and the name has stuck. The name is near and dear to me so it is only appropriate that it also be associated with my photography. How I even got the nickname I don't really know, other than my name starts with a "G" instead of the typical "J" - and that I enjoy making people laugh.
In this blog you will see mostly images I have shot but also images my girlfriend has shot over the last couple of years through the present and the adventure or moment associated with them. I hope you enjoy and please feel free to leave comments.
